Mindfulness-Based Contemplative & Somatic Coaching offers a holistic and practical awareness- and body-based approach to exploring and transforming our relationship to our inner and outer worlds. As a therapeutic and holistic coaching modality it integrates cutting edge approaches such as mindfulness, somatic trauma healing, and nervous system education, with the insights of contemplative Buddhist psychology and the nourishing framework of ecotherapy.

Working one-on-one with a Mindfulness-Based Contemplative & Somatic Coach, the client develops a basic openness and curiosity toward lived experience. Through facilitated and guided attention to embodied sensation, emotion, and thought, individuals become more attuned and aware of the ever-shifting state of their bodies and minds - while learning to gently befriend the full range of human experience. This increased awareness sheds light on the habitual patterns governing our emotions and actions in our day to day lives (both helpful and unhelpful) - increasing our insight into the triggers, maladaptive patterns, environmental factors, and inter-personal dynamics that are causing us distress, discomfort, struggle, and pain.

It is here and now that old wounds and patterns show themselves, therefore here and now that we have the opportunity to feel them, work through them, and find new ways to relate to them and ultimately transform them - rather than just understand them intellectually. Freedom, healing and wisdom is gained by understanding our problems with clarity, but also by sensing and literally living our way through the "mess" with full embodiment, open eyes, and great courage - gently assisted by the help of a caring professional.

The past has already happened; the future is not yet and unknown. This, right here, right now, is our moment of opportunity - again and again, breath by breath, and moment by moment, is our true place of agency and potential liberation.

Let us retake our seats in it.

PLEASE NOTE: I am currently in the process of transitioning my counselor/psychotherapy license from Germany to the US, and am only offering services for individuals in the form of Mindfulness-Based Somatic Coaching at the moment (please refer to a U.S. licensed healthcare professional if you are seeking to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any mental health disorders). I look forward to begin working with you!

FURTHER ANSWERS to Common Questions

Clients: I work with warmth, consciousness, and acceptance towards every one of my clients and their unique life experiences and choices. All people and all ages from 16 years onward, are expressedly welcome.

Language: I am fluent in English, German, Spanish, and Portuguese, as well as knowledgeable in French, and although my primary language for sessions is English & German, it is possible to switch to one of the other languages in between if necessary.

Culture/Religion: It is not necessary to be Buddhist, religious, or even "spiritual", to benefit from mindfulness based holistic approaches - everyone has a human mind, and we are all capable to learn how to live more peacefully with it. All faiths, cultural backgrounds and belief systems are welcomed, honored and respected. My approach is entirely non-dogmatic and non-esoteric, it is grounded on scientifically proven mindfulness and embodiment methods and a deep understanding of human suffering and the mechanisms of the human mind. As well as a deep reverence for our intrinsic connection to the natural world and it's healing potential in our lives.

Mindfulness: Previous experience with meditation or mindfulness practices is not required. Similarly, adopting a regular at home meditation or mindfulness practice - although recommended and invaluably helpful to the therapeutic and learning process - is not a requisite for engaging in sessions with me.

Insurance & Pricing: All services are private pay and are not a substitute for clinical therapy or medical and psychiatric care, thus not covered by insurance. Payments are due on the day of service and are charged automatically through the Carepatron Client Portal to your debit or credit card.
